ANONYMOUS ASKED:
So what is jihad?
Now THIS is the question I knew I would receive and would have trouble answering.

Here’s the thing with jihad. We can’t battle unless we were provoked. If someone begins bashing our religion, we are allowed to fight back. It happened a lot in the past with the Kafiroon, who are the disbelievers that are against Islam and support bad conduct and denial and hypocrisy and mockery, etc. If we do fight the battle, it must be with positive results in mind, something our God will like. INNOCENT PEOPLE CANNOT BE KILLED. Women, children, the old…they can’t be killed. Chemical/biological warfare is not permitted. If the enemy asks for peace, we must stop. There are so many different rules to jihad because it is done in the name of justice.

Using “jihad” to justify terrorism does not work at all because the terrorists have

Started the fighting
Allah would NOT approve.
War is the final option - you have to try everything else first.
Innocent people can’t be killed.
Women/children/the old can’t be killed.
Justice must be used against the enemies - their wounded must be treated like our wounded.
Destroying someone else’s property is a no no.
Yeah. I hope I answered this adequately. If I didn’t…ask me to elaborate on whatever you need.
